Jamesburg Recycling Drop-Off Center is located at the Municipal Garage on Duane Street.
Hours of operation are Wednesday from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and Saturday from
8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. The Jamesburg Recycling Center accepts glass, plastics, metals,
grass clipping, newspapers, brush, motor oil (up to five (5) gallons), car batteries, leaves,
and cardboard. The Center is open to all Jamesburg residents with
proof of residency. Everyone must check in with the attendant before they utilize the recycling center.
Yard waste and household garbage is NOT accepted.
White Goods/Appliances are collected on Thursdays. Residents at Beaver Brook and Quarry
Cove must call for an appointment.
Leaves are collected curbside beginning November 5, 2007, through January 9, 2008. Call 732-521-3335 for the schedule.
Rake loose leaves to the curb, no closer than ten (10) feet from any storm drain inlet, during the seven (7) days prior to
your area's scheduled collection date, or place at the curb in biodegradable bags ONLY. These bagged leaves will be picked
up every other Sunday. Please call 732-521-3335 for schedule information. Please Note: Leaves in plastic
bags will not be picked up.
Brush will be picked up twice a year: April 2 - April 5, 2007, and October 1 - October 5, 2006.
Brush and logs less than six (6) inches in diameter should be tied into
2 foot by 4 foot bundles. Brush and logs accumulated after the pickup period may be delivered
to the Borough Recycling Center. Delivered brush will be chipped on site. Chips will be
available to Jamesburg residents.
Christmas Trees will be picked up curbside from January 8 - 12, 2007. Trees must be free of lights and may not be wrapped in
plastic. No stands attached.
Household Battery drop-off is located at the Jamesburg Public Library, 229 Gatzmer Avenue, during regular business
hours. The collection container is located in the front vestibule to the left side when you walk in.
Have you lost your recycling bucket or need a new one? Recycling containers are available free to new residents
or may be purchased. Round containers are $7.00. Square containers are $5.00. Payment should be made at the municipal
building.
